Dollar Tree has a lot of fun things that can be used in activities for kids this Halloween. I am showing you some very budget-friendly activity ideas for kids and what to use from Dollar Tree. Save these items every year and adapt the activities to the skill level of your kids.
Warning! This post is jam-packed! So many ideas! …Enjoy!

For this one, I bought one of the packs of Dollar Tree’s Halloween Fright Tape. They had lots of options, but I went with the “No Trespassing”. One pack is 30 feet long.
All you need is the Halloween Fright Tape, tape, and chairs! Make it as easy or as challenging as you want by adding more or less of the fright tape. Bonus, when you are done turn it into Halloween decorations!

While we’re in a get-them-moving mode, here’s another easy one! “Walk the Line” or “Tightrope,” whatever you chose to call it, all you need is one Halloween garland! There were lots of choices at my Dollar Tree but I went with this pattern. These were 9 feet long.
You can also mix it up with a hop-over, bear crawl, relay, or whatever kind of fun challenges you can think of. It’s great for gross-motor skills and laughs!

This is a great activity for those fine-motor skills, we’re doing a water transfer exercise, but keeping with the Halloween theme. Feel free to change this up a bit, but I picked up one of Dollar Tree’s activity trays, what looks like a syringe, and skull shot glasses.
For my demo, I just used plain water, but you can make this fun with adding a little food coloring to the water as well. Have a towel on hand for easy clean-ups, but the idea is simple, take the syringe and move the water from one glass to the other. This activity is based on Montessori-style lessons. You can simplify with just the pouring back and forth.
These are just fun simple items that the kids can use in a bath or water table.

With just a set of Skeleton Hand Salad Tossers and a bag of Eyes, you got yourself a relay! Transfer eyes between hands, add them to the obstacle course, garland walk-the-line activity, or combine them with the shot glasses! Have the kids dump the eyeballs into the glasses.
Speaking of skeletons, if your kids really love skeletons check out this older post of mine with lots of skeleton activities.

I was so excited to see our store had a bag of bones! This is great for preschooler counting. Take out a dry-erase board and have them put the right number of bones. Like Montessori counting rods activity.
Or let them get creative and see what shapes or letters they can make out of the bones.

This giant spider caught my attention! I made him into an activity tray. Add him, labels inside one of the shot glasses onto a tray. I had the spider part labels from a previous activity, but it’s easy to find and print. Combine this with a spider lesson on what spiders do! Talking about creepy crawlies definitely gets you into the Halloween spirit.
How would you use these materials for activities with your kids this Halloween? I’d love to hear your ideas too!
